There will be a strong emphasis on kids at the Organic Expo & Green Show this year. Aside from our popular Organic Kids Fun Zone and presentations on kids health, we will be working closely with schools throughout NSW to bring the Organic & Green message into homes and local communities.

'DIG YOUR DINNER' SCHOOL COMPETITION

Make a stand against the bland! Celebrate good food, as it should be with all its bumps and imperfections. Grow it for real, from budding seed to brimming plate and join us on our quest for taste!

Schools across NSW are invited to join in the challenge and ‘Dig Your Dinner’. A really fun and easy competition to show how simple it is to grow your own food; free from artificial nasties.

• Various vegetable seeds will be supplied to participating schools to plant and nurture into a bountiful crop in time for the Organic Expo & Green Show
• The best of the produce will be bought along to the show, by the school, displayed in a wheelbarrow. (Competition will be judged on Saturday 21 August).
• A celebrity TV gardener and chef will judge the best vegetables and then use them in a cooking demonstration on the main stage to create a delicious family meal.
• The winning school will become the ‘Dig Your Dinner Champion’ and receive a trophy plus prize.
• For taking up the challenge, each school will also receive 20 free tickets to the Organic Expo & Green Show, valued at $320, school children under 12 enter for free.

The Organic Expo & Green Show, inspired by the UK Seeds of Change campaign, have put together this competition as part of our commitment to encouraging our future generations to lead a healthier life.
