2005 Organic Expo Summary Report
The Organic Expo was staged at the Banquet Hall, Sydney Convention Centre 29 to 31 July and enjoyed great success with an excellent response from both exhibitors and visitors.
The Organic Expo has established itself as Australia’s leading ‘organic and environmental lifestyle’ exhibition. The Show incorporated the Inaugural Australia/New Zealand Wine Show, an Organic Vineyard and the 100 seat SMEG Celebrity Stage.
Ticket Sales generated:
- 2283 on Saturday 30 July (busiest times 11am – 3pm)
- 2663 on Sunday 31 July (busiest times 11am to 3pm)
Complimentary Passes (sponsors, trade, media, industry, special guests, general free passes)
- 396 on Saturday 30 July
- 442 on Sunday 31 July
A total Audience of 5784 visitors
Visitors Surveys
300 Random Visitors Surveys were conducted and the Organic Expo enjoyed a good level of visitor satisfaction:
- 44% – aged under 35 years
- 36% – aged between 36 to 50
- 98% would consider recommending the Organic Expo to their friend
- 91% liked the look & feel of the Organic Expo
- 91% liked the choice of venue for the Organic Expo
- 76% felt more informed about the Organic Industry having visited the Organic Expo
- 61% spent 1-3 hours at the Organic Expo
- 15% spent 3 -5 hours at the Organic Expo
- 32% heard about the Organic Expo through family & friends
- 19% read about the Organic Expo through newspaper advertising
- Most popular category was Food Wine & Beverage, followed by Personal Care, Health & Beauty followed by House Garden & Building Products.
